Description

We need the ability to effectively add and remove POIs, It would require funding development to implement VP thresholds that are adjusted based the amount of VP participating, so until there is a functioning dao team funding updates, this is the most practical solution.

@jar0d and everyone: This change has been implemented on the Governance platform. VP threshold for POIs adding and removal has been lowered to 500k VP. Thanks!

Follow up question Surely we can agree that The DAO has passed this choice, and we as intelligent beings can understand that just because the program needs updating that any new props to add or remove POIs that meet the needed threshold should be considered valid, right? Because, man there are so many POIs I want to remove, starting with the ones DG sold Who else do I need to convince this is logical before I start spending hours creating POI removal posts?

**@jar0d** I’ll reach out to the squad’s former engineers to get this done as soon as possible. Since there’s no team currently maintaining the platform, they’re all focused on other projects, so I can’t commit to a specific timeline. The change is fairly simple, though, so I don’t expect it to take long once they’re able to pick it up.

Voting Yes. Given the trivial nature of POI's as opposed to broader governance proposals, with participating VP far lower than before it only makes sense to adjust them accordingly.

Will someone @esteban doesn't have an unjustified contempt for please ping him to vote on this? I can't think of a reason he wants to continue to make it difficult for the rest of us to clean up the mess that is the current POIs. Or he can go and redelegate VP to all the people who thought he wasn't going to remove that delegation when they increased the VP requirements for making and removing POIs
