Should we promote dcl names as an alternative cryptocurrency wallet addresses
Proposal Details
Description
Rising popularity on digital identities within the Web3/Metaverse has once again proven to us how the next generation of Humans are going to interact, socialise, transact, game & finance in a decentralised way. I've been playing with ENS APP (https://app.ens.domains/) and with their latest update the app shows various information on Decentraland names. By using the app's set resolver function it has become extremely simple & easy to set any Decentraland name as the primary name. What this means is Decentraland names can be used to send & receive cryptocurrency/nft's to all wallets & all networks. For test purposes I have successfully set one of my name, Burrito.dcl.eth as the primary name. I have also sent eth to this name which was successfully delivered & can be seen on etherscan. PFP image upload function also worked.
Should we promote dcl names as an alternative cryptocurrency wallet addresses This proposal is now in status: PASSED. Voting Results: * Yes 93% 7,459,469 VP (96 votes) * No 1% 2,749 VP (2 votes) * Abstain 6% 502,158 VP (7 votes)
ENS Community Manager, Evan mentioned about Digital Identities, but we all know Decentraland Names are so much more than just avatar names :grinning: By the way Bull is back and what a better time to promote Decentraland through Digital Identities. With good planning, strategic move along with the most innovative (exciting) team on the block nothing can stop us. :heart_hands:
More tools are under development for ENS which is a BONUS for Decentraland names because whatever tool works for ENS also works for DCL Names. Imagine if we could build our own free appraisal tool inside the builder. That would be epic. Here's a free appraisal tool for DCL & ENS Names https://ensappraiser.com/
If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask at all times. I could post the pricing structure for Unstoppable Domains, however did not want to add further confusion. On another note https://godid.io/ platform now recognises DCL Names
