The DAO truly needs no other "shared mission" statement than `Ensuring the integrity of the value of LAND and MANA.` or `Ensuring the prosperity of LAND and MANA.` or `Ensuring the prosperity of Decentraland.` or anything else simple, from which all other considerations should automatically be flowing, e.g. investing DAO treasury in maintaining and improving * the Protocol * tools for Governance * a variety of Explorers * a variety of Marketplaces * tools for Content Creation * etc If this means establishing and sustaining the proper maintenance teams, that's what it'll take !

Some issues with this mission statement. Which probably won't matter anyway however here are some observations. First off, it's too vague.Sustainability, governance, and innovation does not tell us *how* we’re getting there or what it means for the average participant. Without concrete language it won't resonate with the people who actually use Decentraland or those who are driving its culture and content. Also, where’s the community? The heart of Decentraland isn’t just code and land—it’s the people building, collaborating, and exploring. The statement doesn’t acknowledge that, and it needs to. If we’re talking governance, let’s make it clear it’s *community-driven* governance. If we’re talking resources, let’s say how they’ll be managed transparently and inclusively. And innovation? Sure, it’s important, but not if we don’t tie it to the people who will use and benefit from it. Lastly, it feels like it’s written to check boxes rather than inspire action or loyalty. People stick around and contribute when they feel part of something bigger. We should talk about nurturing creativity, encouraging diverse voices, and making sure Decentraland stays a place that people want to be part of—not just a platform that’s technically sustainable. We need something that *reflects* what Decentraland is and is supposed to be: a vibrant, evolving community-led world, not just another project.
