Description
In this concession proposal, the Decentraland Brazil community team, also known as "DCL Brasil," requests support to ensure the continuity and improvement of inclusion projects, training with humanized support, and essential maintenance of the community. For more than a year, we have been committed to publicizing and expanding the platform in the country. During this period, our team and projects were financed exclusively with funds from the Founder's personal budget, without ever resorting to any funds from the DAO. Since the beginning, our main objective has been to educate and generate opportunities for all. We seek to attract new users, brands, and creators to Web3 to foster the growth and expansion of the platform. We support and launch new community talent, offering resources and guidance to help them achieve their creative goals. In addition, we encourage training for new creators, SDKs, and modelers, creating help groups where more experienced individuals offer support and guidance to beginners, sharing their knowledge and skills to help others grow and develop. As the community grows and evolves, new talent is discovered and supported in their creative journeys. Through carefully planned actions and opportunities, the community is turning dreams into reality and cultivating a vibrant culture of creativity and innovation. Because we believe that everyone has unique skills and talents that deserve to be valued and supported, we work to promote actions that generate personalized opportunities for each individual, according to their skills and interests. During this period, the team's salary and the community's projects were financed solely by the Founder's personal budget. Some initiatives were taken, such as the purchase of land that today houses the headquarters of DCL Brazil, whose coordinates are (-107, -94). In addition, a community T-shirt was published, with free distribution to all members and interested parties. Twelve wearables were also created in collaboration with other members of the platform. We also acquired seven Decentraland names.

Hi Community, Our team, the Revocation Committee received a request from the Grant Support Squad to discuss this case and make decisions regards to this proposal - Growth and Maintenance of Decentraland Brazil Community “DCL_Brasil” **The final result of the Revocation Committee suggests the DAO committee (@HPrivakos @Tobik)revoke this grant proposal, meanwhile, provide a one-time 11,000 USDC or DAI refund to the applicant to compensate for the work done for this proposal.** Revocation Committee snapshot vote result: https://snapshot.org/#/revocationscommittee.eth/proposal/0x33180d8ffa0481ad1524332fdb28a0b42cd0024ba8fc3fd306d3b48cd041b0ca DCL Brazil's works progress so far: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17OO2Lhaz_oADxlM_CEz1FV0PAx8DCwxGLSYp_u4pdWE/edit#heading=h.z6ne0og04bp5 **Reason to revoke: The applicant chose an incorrect Grant Category for this proposal.** **The proposal applied for a grant under the Documentation Category. However, the main objective significantly goes beyond documentation.** It is worth noting that Grant Support Squad has been communicating with the applicant and endeavours to find a solution to avoid this proposal being rejected. However, unfortunately, they did not find a reasonable way to fit this project under Documentation Category. For more details regards to their communication, please check this comment in the forum. https://forum.decentraland.org/t/dao-89c73ce-growth-and-maintenance-of-decentraland-brazil-community-dcl-brasil/19098/28 Plus, we have acknowledged the value of this proposal and the fact that the DCL Brazil team has been actively contributing to the prosperity of Decentraland. We suggest the DCL Brazil team apply for a new grant as soon as possible and adjust the proposal to fit the category they choose in the next application. Thank you! Revocation Committee
Hello, Community! Our team, [the Grant Support Squad](https://governance.decentraland.org/proposal/?id=7a236540-d305-11ec-b521-2f98ffa6ccb0), has been diligently assisting grantees in their journey while ensuring the optimal utilization of the DAO treasury. In this regard, we've reviewed this project and have a few things to share. The proposal applied for a grant under the Documentation Category. Over the past weeks, we have been exploring various options to assist them in aligning their proposal to their aims. However, the main objective significantly goes beyond documentation. Therefore, we have decided to escalate this case to the revocation committee for further consideration with their vesting contract and also allocating a specific amount for all the work done until now. We warned the grantee about this since the first email during the first weeks of the onboarding process and in the following meetings, and the information provided by the Grantee mainly focuses on the community's efforts to promote Decentraland in Brazil by supporting new users, fostering growth, and providing resources and guidance to creators. While these efforts are commendable, and we encourage them, they do not directly address the specific requirements of the Documentation Category. The documentation category, as it is [written in the documentation of the grants program](https://docs.decentraland.org/player/general/dao/overview/grants-program/), has requirements such The topic shouldn’t be already well-covered in the official documentation and [(...)these should be all in English, to ensure they're readable by the majority of users”, as it is stated in the Awesome Repository contribution guideline](https://github.com/decentraland-scenes/Awesome-Repository/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md). We appreciate the grantees' efforts in attempting to create different roadmaps, but it was challenging to establish a consistent proposal. In that sense, the chosen category is not consistent with the objectives, personnel, budget, and roadmaps presented for the Growth and Maintenance of the DCL Brazil Community. **Roadmaps presented by Brazil Team:** **Original roadmap posted on the proposal** **2dn roadmap-task provided:** 1. Create 10x videos translating the main & active Decentraland games Where roadmaps were updated, they are not consistent with the objectives, personnel, budget, and the category chosen for the Growth and Maintenance of the DCL Brazil Community. The documentation category, as it is [written in the documentation of the grants program](https://docs.decentraland.org/player/general/dao/overview/grants-program/), has requirements such the topic shouldn’t be already well-covered in the official documentation. The roadmap was unclear for a 6-month project, and the team's personnel could be too large for a Documentation grant. It is confusing whether the funding allocated for personnel is for a few months upfront or for a refund. According to their original proposal, which was voted on by the community, and the roadmaps presented after the grant was approved, the team has made significant progress on the "DCL BRASIL" social project. Their efforts have focused on creating an inclusive space in Decentraland through education, communication, and fostering a sense of belonging for all participants. They have provided support and training through various channels such as Discord, WhatsApp, and social media platforms. Based on the work they have accomplished thus far, we recommend that the **Revocation Committee carefully consider allocating a specific amount as a refund** to acknowledge and support the efforts made by the team. **We have identified an opportunity for improvement**: the DAO should continue to prioritize its support for community builders * The Grant Support Squad, in collaboration with the Facilitator Squad, will be conducting a poll to engage the community in a discussion about the potential creation of a new category specifically dedicated to "community builders”, [as we written in the article published ](https://medium.com/decentrland-dao/transparency-and-support-the-grant-support-squads-role-in-grant-analysis-47d09b74b365)To effectively establish this category, we will need to define key concepts, establish requirements, determine impact metrics, and allocate a budget, similar to the existing categories. * High-quality information about the Grant Program and its requirements is needed, and we compromise to address it. The Grants Support Squad will add this Awesome Repository contribution guideline of documentation being only in English to the requirement of the documentation category. For the reasons exposed, In line with governance procedures, we will elevate this case to the Revocations Committee ( @dax @MetaDoge @maryana), recommending revoke the vesting contract, and allocate a specific amount kind of refund for the work made so far. This recommendation will temporarily pause the grant's vesting contract, which the DAO Committee (@HPrivakos + @Tobik ) will execute. This pause will allow time for the Committee to make an informed decision. We believe that these actions will help preserve the integrity of the grant process while ensuring the appropriate support for all grantees and the Community. Let's continue to work together to grow our communities and further our shared goals.

I believe that, like any Family, we will always have some points of disagreement and conflicts of interest. However, the secret to a United and Strong Family is the ability to understand and tolerate each other's ideas. We are starting to build something new and very big that will shape the behavior of new generations. We must be aware of this responsibility and the importance of maintaining balance during this delicate phase. We are in a small boat facing a giant and agitated sea, where each one's position and movements directly influence stability. ..we have to think about it...Thank you Chris for your support and recognition! We wish for Decentraland to grow despite its occasional conflicts, and we consider that the support from your community and many others means a lot! Love you All !!!

Atrovenado is a key community leader! He has been so supportive of the DCL community. Decentraland Brazil under his leadership is and will be successful. We at Metatrekkers will continue to support them in all their endeavors. We praise them for always keeping a neutral stance on all DCL issues. Their relentless efforts of oboarding to the DCL Community, not just Brazilians but many continents and countries around the world shouldn't go without praise. The Metatrekkers community has come together as a majority to vote on this proposal. We also wish the Brazilian community much success in all their endeavors.
Marquito my Hermano ! Eres increíble y un compañero muy especial... sin haber conocido a gente como tú no sé si hubiera tenido la energía para continuar con este esfuerzo.... :kissing_heart:
Muchas gracias amigo , tu apoyo es muy importante para nosotros !!!
Hey Alan ! Thks a lot my dear Friend ! We won't stop building .....
I also saw Altvenado doing a lot of events and forming a community in DC. I play DC and sandbox and I love decentralized DC more. I think it is an important factor that makes the community strong when users first come here and become creators or ambassadors over time. Sandbox supports users as VoxEdit-like tools and Gamemaker tools to make it easier for them to become creators. If there is a program in DC that helps users become creators, I think they should actively support it.
Ever since I joined DCL in 2021 I always have seen brazilian people in this community, I have seen hundreds of people waiting for something like this! Thank you @Atrovenado for taking this big step: **YES YES YES!!**
Love the DCL Brazil events and team behind the name. Not only are they heavily active in the community and all for the onboarding of new users into DCL, but they keep in touch also. I haven't been to an event in months, ANY dcl event in general.. and Atrovenado and his wife still reach out to me to make sure things are okay with me. APPROVE
HUGE supporter of DCL Brazil Fam! Since their beginnings, there is no question what they have done not only for bringing Brazilian culture and people to DCL — but also for DCL itself in creating events and being very active members in the space. It's been great to watch the community grow and thrive, and I hope to see them continue to do so!
One of the biggest and most inspiring communities in DCL, always building, on-boarding, and creating new spaces for the metaverse!
Fully deserved. They've been doing a great onboarding job, making DCL known in Brazil and LatAm. Congratulations Atrovendo and team for the great work you're doing.
Absolutely. DCLBrasil has thrown many events. I know the ones I've been to or seen photos of they have a great turn out. A lot of people you don't see usually around other events which is great sign. They collab with many in the DCL community. We need to continue to reach people in other countries and the US as well. Thank you DCLBrasil (Atrovenado) for being here and building.
