Description

Currently, finding a POI in Decentraland requires you to open the DCL Map, and move across a 2D interface to see what you can potentially experience. The few access points that exist in DCL (like the ones in Genesis Plaza) don't fully capture the vast amounts of POIs that already exist in Decentraland. We wish to change this. By scraping data from the DCL DAO votes, and by getting users to travel across the DCL Map, we want to create a database of all the current existing POIs in Decentraland, and minimally add them into an upcoming events hub called https://metaverse-events.xyz/ . The data-scraping will ensure that we can continue updating the site with newly approved POIs. This will eventually allow us to connect events being organised in POI spaces to actual events on the metaverse-events website & the DCL Website. This is just a first step in being able to create a one-stop-shop for all Metaverse Events and meeting points in DCL.

The website is no good either. At first it says its not safe to go to but if you proceed anyway and click launch app its a 404 Not Found. https://metaverse-events.xyz/ Those that work for MetaArchs can be found here. https://metaverse-architects.com/

I'm curious as to why the money granted has not been retuned yet. It's been almost 9 months and there is no DCL POI Hub. Currently there's only 893 MANA of the original 2,143 MANA the DAO transferred to the beneficiary wallet. The amount of 1,250 was transferred to seanellul.eth on December 18th, 2022. https://etherscan.io/address/0xe1f5ea171C5690A7Df19c99040248E584371Eabc#tokentxns

I thought of this issue quite a few times. Hyped to see it happen

PorlaApr 13, 2022

Looks like it's in its prototype stage. Hype for interoperability though.

Supporting this. Can we get more info on metaverse events?

PorturoApr 13, 2022

This would actually be helpful
