Description
Fund a library to easily add in-world snapshot voting in any SDK7 scene. The library will come with functions to vote on proposal and an UI that shows currently active proposals
Voting Rationale
Can we get a neutral party (a neutral developer with no conflict of interests) who can approximate the actual cost of this implementation?
Yes I didn't sense any malice in your use of that emoticon. But I do wish this space of governance were treated with a bit more seriousness.
Sorry @Ozymandias, nothing personal, that was a friendly smile.. I think I will stop here. I'm just 3d artist/3d artists team lead and wanted to answer some questions that I saw here regards in-world voting. I will tell team to write response/update regards vote-to-earn stuff in our proposal.
And I don't know why you keep using the `:joy:` emoticon. Are you trying to mock us here ?
@theankou, the information you just wrote is _nowhere_ to be found on https://decentraland.org/governance/update/?id=2657196c-4c91-4d8c-bc3f-6bf0871e0bde, nor on [Dappcraft Bid page on Notion](https://dcl-dao.notion.site/df4fc5333f354a9ab2cc6c557dc57d33), nor on the thread for the Proposal itself. And you just _cannot_ expect everyone to be able to join _each_ Town Hall, or even to be able to pay attention to _every single detail_ of what is said there.
We don't have any vote to earn system @Ozymandias, we replaced it with simple daily tasks and wearable rewards, there are no any depedencies betwees votes and earn anymore... I recommend you to check grant updates and come to town halls, to be up to date  :joy:
Ok I finally found this. It would have taken me a lot fewer clicks indeed if you would just have linked it for us here from the start. 😂😠 https://forum.decentraland.org/t/dao-913f42d-bid-0034-dappcraft/21544/12#post_13 And I have to say... that "VOTE" TO EARN is one of the most _ridiculous_ propositions I have read out here so far. I will comment about this on that thread.
This is not our DAO HQ @Ozymandias, looks like it's old one? :joy: @HPrivakos nevermind, as far as I know your solution was not integrated, because when project just started our developers already made their own working solution, this was one of the first tasks for dev team. @Ozymandias I think current problem with all stuff released from grants, is that it's impossible to find it in few clicks, I already experienced that issue when I was trying to find some stuff made for grants by other 3d artists..
I'd be happy to help DappCraft implement in-world voting if you need.
It seems the solution currently in place does not enable the voting to occur _In-World_:
Nobody told me you already had it working :)
Well, as far as I know, our developers already made similar solution with some features, several month before HPrivakos come to us with his tool, hope i'm not wrong :joy:
Obviously, since we're talking about adding it in ! Would it be conflicting with the system you made from scratch, is that why you refer to that ?
I mean we don't use tool that HPrivakos made :)
Your own system for voting on Proposals ? Or do you mean you are not using the SDK ?
We use our own system made from scratch at DAO HQ
I don't think so, most projects are abandoned after being funded. https://decentraland.org/governance/proposal/?id=1e153499-aaac-40f8-8231-de667673781f
This could be a really good feature for our in-world Headquarters
Is there still a team updating the scene ?
Yes, it is done, it has been send several months ago to lastraum and dappcraft to use it already, I shiuld have posted it here too  https://github.com/HPrivakos/inworld-snapshot This is an example scene, you can easily copy the ui/lib file into your scene and use it without needed the whole scene.
Is this done? Where to find?

Gotcha.. thanks.. :+1:
I cannot comment on the documentation, I'm not working on it and I'm rarely using the SDK so rarely using the documentation. I don't think EIP-712 was documented for SDK6 either. Your best bet it to look at examples on github, but even then I don't know many.
Any blockchain functionality that used to work in sdk6 is currently not working in sdk7. If there’s any documentation to provide otherwise, and there’s an easy guide for implementation like there are for sdk6, I would love to see those. 💪 As I asked in the sdk channel in discord, is there a list of items prioritized so the community knows what is being worked on first? What would take precedent over integrating blockchain functionality into a platform that’s built on a blockchain protocol? Your code snippet is awesome, and unfortunately, almost more insightful than the current sdk7 documentation for blockchain integration. (An oversimplification to highlight the current documentation shortcomings)
Are you saying the foundation is not providing any blockchain support beyond what the current documentation states?
No, I wasn't talking about documentation, Cheddar said "Angzaar is already working on it" and I replied saying that Angzaar is not currently on the voting as you said:
There is currently no support or public documentation for blockchain interactions with sdk7.
EIP-712 are quite a niche case though, so I doubt there will be documentation for it anytime soon as there are more important things to document first. It's using the same function on SDK7 than on SDK6 to send EIP-712 messages. I used it back in early 2021 to do the first meta transactions transfers from within Decentraland, so I have the knowledge to do that one quickly. https://github.com/decentraland/decentraland-l2-utils/blob/bundle/src/matic/index.ts#L211-L217
Interesting. Are you saying the foundation is not providing any blockchain support beyond what the current documentation states? If so, that is severely unfortunate for anyone lacking your skill sets (most anyone developing in dcl).
