Description
Decentraland Studios has come a long way from its inception. Our journey began with the mission to create a public registry of individuals and organizations offering their services to build content on Decentraland's platform. The aim was to provide transparency to brands looking for talented builders for event productions, wearables, 3D modeling, and SDK programming. This initiative was born out of the desire to democratize access to qualified suppliers and generate new business opportunities for creators within the Decentraland community. See our first grant proposal [here](https://governance.decentraland.org/proposal/?id=81af5b00-02e6-11ed-8f44-ef1722f0509f). Our [second grant](https://governance.decentraland.org/proposal/?id=81283aa0-b946-11ed-95dc-afd12ca00986) focused on creating business opportunities for our verified studios. We launched the Jobs feature streamlining job opportunities for Decentraland creators and we ran performance marketing campaigns to generate leads. The [third grant](https://governance.decentraland.org/proposal/?id=5f962e70-22ef-11ee-8ace-3bf098daeebe) we focused on enhancing the user experience by improving communication between studios and brands. To achieve this, we are introducing a dashboard and a messaging system, facilitating seamless interaction. Now, with this fourth grant, we enter a new phase. Our focus is on the platform's maintenance mode with minimal resources, ensuring its operation for future market opportunities. The historical context and achievements have brought us to this point, where we must sustain the valuable resource we have created for the Decentraland ecosystem. Over the past months: - A total of 48 job posts. - 9 of these job posts have generated a total revenue of $43,320 for 10 different studios (shared voluntarily by some posters). - 10 job posts have been moderated. For this grant, we kindly request the community support to ensure the sustainability and growth of Decentraland Studios. Our mission remains the same: connecting creators with brands and promoting transparency within the Decentraland ecosystem. # Additional links We encourage you to explore the following resources and stay connected with Decentraland Studios: - Back office platform: **[Directus](https://admin.dclstudios.org/admin/login)** - **[Decentraland Studios Website](https://studios.decentraland.org/studios)** - **[Join the Registry](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc_KsbODUsJdC4_UTn7T91RTYwSJBAEZIWlCAxnk3rRBinFWg/viewform)** - **[Twitter](https://twitter.com/dcl_studios)** - **[Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/decentraland_studios/)** - **[LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/decentraland-studios/)** - [**Github**](https://github.com/decentraland/studios)

Based on community feedback and @aleescoda reply to LandlordDao I will change my vote from NO to YES. Thank you for the work that you have done and for being transparent around future costs.
This project is well conceived, well executed, and provides by far the best platform for the economics of creators being found and compensated by people and organizations wishing to enter the world but needing help. it also allows projects to put up specs and get bids from the creator, and to see in some great detail what the highly-curated talent can do. Please vote yes, this should very well sustained and supported into the future
I believe without this there is no other way for brands to find easy access to Decentraland and its creators.
strongly support dclStudios and the work theyve done. even if it is a recurring cost their work provides steps towards a sustainable economy who else is sourcing jobs from within the community? strong yes
Hello @LandlordDao I want to address your concern about completing the project without requesting another grant. Decentraland Studios is not a traditional project with a finite completion point. This grant proposal doesn't involve introducing new features or enhancements, instead we are transitioning to a maintenance mode to keep the platform operational. While we have optimized our platform to minimize costs, maintaining and operating Decentraland Studios does incur ongoing expenses. We remain hesitant to consider transitioning to alternative funding models, as I previously mentioned to canessa, because such a shift would go against the core idea of our project. As long as the community chooses to keep Decentraland Studios operational, the platform where creators can showcase their skills and apply for commercial projects, it will require continued financial support. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Anything that is helpful to the DCL ecosystem will be supported unconditionally! Thank you~!
Simply, I just want to say: we will support you if you complete this project without requesting a third grant. The first grant took away 40+k... with this second grant, you should be able to complete it.
Hello @Canessa, the future remains uncertain, we hope to see a growth in job opportunities, ensuring that Decentraland Studios continues to be a vital resource for the ecosystem. At this stage, we are hesitant to consider transitioning to alternative funding models, such as fees for submissions or premium registry placements, as it kind of goes against the core idea of our project – providing accessibility and democratized access to qualified creators. If necessary, in 6 months we may submit a new grant proposal to sustain our platform's operation.
Do you have a plan to be self-sustainable in the future? Will you ask for more maintenance funds in 6 months? Thank you.
