The Third-Party Wearables (aka Linked Wearables) project was originally proposed in the DAO in October 2020. Efforts to design and implement this feature have been put in motion since then. Along with this development, the Three Stage Governance Process was voted and put in place by the end of January 2022. It was unclear if projects started before this date should be subject to this new process. **After reviewing the case in detail the DAO Committee recommends escalating the Draft proposal to a Governance Proposal and honoring the new governance process.** The DAO will continue accepting applications for the Linked Wearables Registry but they **WILL NOT BE ENACTED** by the committee until a Governance Proposal for this topic is passed.

Why are we seeing proposals for linked wearables already if this proposal was not even promoted to a **Stage 3: Binding Governance Proposal**? See: https://forum.decentraland.org/t/dao-qmsjxh1-dao-governance-proposal-stages/3584

I strongly encourage all to vote YES in favor of this proposal, as it addresses a serious flaw with the previous proposal as it pertains to integrating other communities into Decentraland. As one of the largest holders of Decentraland wearables, I am definitely aware of the potential impact more wearables may have on the price of existing wearables. But, as laid out in detail above, these wearables are not tradable and are thus different in kind to traditional wearables. I believe there will be a net positive through bringing other communities into Decentraland in what is becoming a more and more crowded metaverse space.
